Punta Cana-Bávaro, una zona marcada por el auge de las inversiones inmobiliarias

PUNTA CANA. The boom in the construction of squares and projects rooms in the Veron-Punta Cana Municipal District is still very active, in what was a sector that grew 3.7% last year, driven by the active dynamism of tourism, the other sector that boosted more flights of all lines, with 6.8% in 2017, according to the Central Bank (BC).

Last year, large hotel buildings were built by foreign investment, whose growth has been 523% in the last five years, according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism.

That fever has caused the area to become a mine of jobs and a massive emigration of people who come to make the East its «north». And for this, groups of builders have had to build large housing projects to meet the demand for housing. For example, last year, the Venezuelan company Indecasas, inaugurated the residential project Terranova Caribbean, a housing complex of 42 houses of simple style, but with a compact design suitable for any family.

And in addition to that, it has in the agenda the construction of another project for an audience that seeks more space and comfort. Another ambitious work is the Sarah project of Los Angeles II, from the Intelar Corporation, which will have 900 solutions, with one to three bedroom apartments.

The complex, aimed at the working sector that wants to acquire its first home, will have 26 buildings that will cover 416 apartments type A, that is, three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom; 19 buildings with 304 B-type apartments, with two bedrooms; and five buildings with 160 C-type apartments, with one room.

Similarly, for the most demanding clients, is Oasis del Lago, a 450,000 square meter project that will house a residential 477 luxurious villas in six designs and that will have «eco trail, playgrounds, pet park, outdoor gym and roof, bike path, clubhouse with swimming pool for adults and children, sports area with basketball, tennis and soccer courts, all framed with the beauty of the lake», according to the specifications of the project.

And in Punta Cana, as a destination, we have experienced a constant ascendancy in terms of the number of foreign visitors, which has been the engine that has driven the development of the area. As a result, we have a population increase of residents, who come with the objective of working in the different sectors that the community demands, «says Quilvio Tió Schotborg, president of the Association of Developers and Builders of the province of La Altagracia (Adecla).

Expresses that when it comes to building a work must take into account the political stability of the country, the market demand, the costs of developing the project, the execution time, the existence of materials and skilled labor «; and the most important, the profitability of the project, according to him.

He argues that the success of these projects is closely linked to the existence of adequate conditions in the area: efficient transportation system, water, electricity and telecommunications services, security, education, among others.

«A great challenge we have for this 2018 is to be able to count on the coverage of these basic needs, and for this we need great support from the government authorities.»
